Toiles For 3rd Review

These are some of the toiles that i showed at the last review, they show how i am starting to add the chain effect into my work.

Ruffle dress with added chains down the side and front
Chains and ruffles
Jacket with chains moved from the back onto the sleeves
Back view - moving chains around

Fitted maxi dress with corset inside - chains on the front
The chains are hanging at the length of the corset inside.

More is better ..

For my collection I am moving onto adding a lot more chains onto all my outfits. My line - up has completly changed since talking to the tutors on Thursday. I am about to begin re creating my outfits and adding a lot of chains onto each garment. The colours will be reflected through the beads, and the fabric will be very plain, but sophisticated, so it is suitable for party wear! :-)

New Toiles ...

Trying out simple chains on the ruffle dress
Fitted black dress with corset hidden on the inside.
Corest that is attached to the lining.
Complete with boning.
Simple jacket.
Chain detail on the back.
The chains create new shapes in the fabric by pulling it down.

Latest Toile Review ..

Today i had my 3rd review of the semester, it went really well even though some of my designs and outfits have completly changed. I am making the bead/chain idea the main aspect of my designs and from the advice of my tutor my clothes are going to be fun party dresses. I am sticking with 2 of my original ideas which was a black fitted dress with loads of pink chains, and also my ruffle dress. I am now doing a one shouldered dress with a lot of chains going down the sleeve and one side of the dress, and also another dress that has ruffles and chains all over. I am quite excited to start making these as i now feel that my collection flows and fits together a lot more. I will be re-doing my line up and also researching into suitable sexy fabrics that i can use! :-)
